The search for land and facilities took us far and wide and left us pretty much empty. Then along came the generous hearts of the Sabre Heights partners. Bill Sapp, Dave Lutton and Ken Broz donated 7.7 acres of land on the northwest corner of one of Ashland’s newest living communities for the construction of a church facility and community center. At the same time, our congregation agreed to get behind the effort, generously committing nearly $400,000 over the next three years. We are living an adventure of God’s provision. Of course the need and the vision of this facility will require substantially more, so we are trusting God to provide.
We now have a Facilities Planning Team made up of men and women committed to the RCC mission and values. With prayer and the kind of discernment that comes from a group working together, we believe God will show us His plan and timing. The team working together in submission to the Riverview Community Church membership is: Jim Kucera, Lora Buck, Tom Sherman, Lonnie Buller, Steve Spargen, Ted Tucker, Roger Maxon, Steve Loogman, Neal Brower and Tony Boscarino.
It is our hope to be debt free on move-in day. Our ability to give this facility back to the community will improve exponentially if we can use funds for operations instead of debt reduction! God is the Great Provider and He has already worked miracles on our behalf. We are a gr ateful people.
We would be grateful for anyone who chooses to partner with us on the project. All of your gifts are tax deductible and you will be receipted accordingly. You can send your gift directly to Riverview Community Church at PO Box 182, Ashland, NE 68003.
